Kat Hepler: Why Me? Why Not?
Hepler Designs: Masterpieces in Wood

foreword
Joanne Carson

I've known Katherine and Dennis Hepler for about eight years now. Their lives are filled with faith, love and heavenly hope. Enough for us to dip into when we find ourselves on empty. They have lived stories that will make wonderful books and encourage us to create our own story lines.

This is a colorful, offbeat, controversial and honest account of how they both got through the dreaded disease of cancer. They've always taken life's lemons and made delicious lemonade. With powerful positive attitudes that conjure up miracles. Kat writes like she talks, from her heart.

The mind and body are part of the whole. Molecular messages are sent throughout our body when we feel despair, fear and hopelessness just as love, hope and joy have a molecular effect on us in physiological ways. Deep inside we all know this is true. Kat and Dennis are proving it. They have accepted the challenge and learned lessons that may provide a road sign to you on your special journey, leading to peace of mind and healing spiritually. They are normal people who are living on the edge, courageously, with smiles on their faces, and joy in their hearts. A light in the dark world of disease. I can't imagine someone walking away from this book and not getting the message or the spirit that miracles happen. It would be like watching the movie "It's A Wonderful Life" and not comprehending the meaning that we are all important and have an effect on those lives around us. They have had an affect on my life.

Kat and Dennis are on a spiritual quest and share it with us on these pages. They will be the first to tell you to pay attention to the synchronicities, coincidences and intuitions in your life. They are encouraging you to take part in your recovery.

A good friend of mine, Truman Capote told me "life is an adventure, grab it with both hands". The Heplers certainly have done that. Their stories are heart-warming like Truman wrote about in his books, A Christmas Memory and The Thanksgiving Visitor. I'm proud to call the Heplers friends and very happy to introduce them to you.
