Thankfully I never lacked the ability to dream big, or dream many
dreams. I have enough that some people even borrow them. I don't mind. I know that dreams
are healthy and healing. If you are on unfamiliar territory then you have another
adventure ahead of you. To get started think about what you loved doing as a child or a
young adult. What did you get lost in: writing, painting, clay sculpting, reading, music,
singing, dance, swimming, whatever. Maybe you don't remember. If so then you need to look
around. |
When I met Dennis in 1975 he had a job that he hated: tool and die work at a factory. He
had worked many years in this atmosphere. He dreaded each time he had to go to work.
According to the doctors he may have had two years left in his life to live. He was
over-medicated, by well meaning doctors. His life felt empty, and he was desperate. How
would his kids survive without him? All this weighed on him. He was depressed to say the
least. That's when I entered his life.
When we met, our
lives changed from the moment we laid eyes on each other. We spoke seven little word; I
answered a question he was thinking without his verbally asking! |
